Description

This is a creamy, nutty, and oil-free dressing with a delicious Orange-Thyme flavour. Healthy, lower calorie than oil-based dressings and nutritious. It goes fantastic with my Sweet-Potato-Grape Salad with Goats Cheese, but it’ll happily grace any salad that would go with sesame, thyme, and orange flavours.


Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1/3 cup Tahini
  • 2 tbsp Balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tsp honey
  • 1 clove garlic (minced)
  • 1 tbsp Fresh Thyme ( chopped. Or Za'atar)
  • 1 Orange (Juice and zest)
  • 1/2 lemon (juiced)
  • Salt and Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a jar you have a lid for, combine the Tahini, Balsamic vinegar, orange and lemon juice and zest, minced garlic, thyme or Za’atar, honey, and about ¼ tsp of salt.
  2. Put the lid on and shake vigorously until well combined. Give it a taste and adjust the seasoning. Adjust the consistency by adding more water or lemon juice if desired.

Notes

The dressing keeps in a lidded jar in the fridge for at least a week.
